American artist and film-maker Sharon Lockhart is working on the completion of an art-film about Noa Eshkol's dances, as performed today, with Wall Carpets created by Eshkol in the background.
The film was shot at the Varda Studio of the Bat Sheva Company in Tel Aviv during the first week of January 2010.
The film is to be screened in museums around the world, accompanied by an exhibition illustrating Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation and an exhibition of Noa Eshkol Wall Carpets.
Sharon Lockhart is an elected artist of the "Tel Aviv-Los Angeles Partnership Foundation".
Lockhart: "I am very interested in movement, repetition, circular phenomena and structuralism. These, to me, have profound connection to Eshkol's work."
